Ben Graham was proudly raised right here in Wausau and is a 15-year veteran of the Wausau Police Department. Since 2018, he has served as the City’s investigations captain, overseeing a bureau responsible for preventing, detecting, and ensuring successful prosecution of major crime. Prior to that, he worked the beat as a uniformed patrol officer, worked undercover as a drug investigator, and within seven years, promoted to lieutenant.

Ben is a husband and father who prioritizes faith, family, and fellowship. His mission, personally and professionally, is to pursue righteousness in private and in public with unwavering devotion and joy. He has a passion for inspiring and influencing others along that same path.

An Untended Life

Drawing upon his law enforcement experience, Ben will draw parallels between the “broken windows” theory of policing and what takes place in the hearts, minds, and lives of men. “…if a window in a building is broken and is left unrepaired, all the rest of the windows will soon be broken.” Whether we’re talking about the integrity of a building or the integrity of a man, failing to tend to small things will eventually lead to big problems.
