Jim along with his wife Dagmar live in the Wausau area and raised three boys all married along with their nine grandchildren. He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard for 8 years. Jim trained as a special forces reconnaissance scout. He was chosen the top trainee soldier out of 1,000 men in 1970 receiving 983 points which was a record that was kept for 17 years in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was the outstanding soldier of the year for the State of Wisconsin in 1976 and received the Milwaukee Journal award for that accomplishment. Owning my own business and working in the furniture industry lead us back to Wausau. Were his wife and him reside and focus on ministry efforts such as Gideons and disciplining younger men.
